Abstract
Dynamic response of a multilayered model of a pavement subject to moving load is presented along with an analysis of wave phenomena. Wave reflections in the layer boundaries cause pulsation of stresses and strains in layers which magnitudes depend on wave velocity, layer thickness and wave impedance of the layer. Neglecting the wave influence in the analysis of can cause that premature fatigue damage of pavement may not be recognized. The qualitative analysis as well as graphs of deflections, stresses and strains in pavement layers as well as the influence of the Poisson ratio on the pavement deflections are presented. Results of the investigation show the possibility of the reduction of negative influence of the volume wave coming from moving vehicles during pavement exploitation and indicate the possibility of minimization of the pavement destruction process by proper modelling and construction of pavement layers.
