Abstract

In the paper there are presented research results of ductility test of non modified bitumen and modified with polymer and scrap rubber. Force ductility tests in function of temperature and elongation speed were carried out. Changes of cohesion determined on the basis of force ductility tests allowed the determination of had deformation work and maximum tensile force. It was found that połymer modified bitumen had better cohesion properties than standard bitumen. The most appropriate testing method for characterization of road bitumen cohesion was defined.
