Abstract

In the paper formal conditions of using calcareous fly ash as an active pozzolanic-hydraulic constituent of cements and binders are analyzed. The analysis is documented by test results of hydraulic road binders and masonry cements, containing calcareous fly ash from Bełchatów Power Station. Binders and cements with different calcareous fly ash content were tested. Blended binders containing fly ashes from different combustion technologies, i.e. calcareous fly ash, siliceous fly ash and fly ash from fluidized bed combustion, were also objects of the study. The scope of the research included normative properties of hydraulic road binders and masonry cements. The results prove that calcareous fly ash from Bełchatów Power Station can be an effective constituent of hydraulic road binders and cements, produced according to actual standards and technical approvals.
