Badanie wysokogatunkowych szklanych mikrokulek odblaskowych do oznakowania drogowego

Streszczenie

Oznakowanie poziome stanowi niezbędny element bezpieczeństwa ruchu drogowego. Warunkiem jego skuteczności jest zapewnienie odblaskowości, co uzyskuje się przez powierzchniową warstwę mikrokulek szklanych. W celu wykazania różnic między oznakowaniem poziomym cienkowarstwowym wykonanym w technologii tradycyjnej a nowoczesnymi rozwiązaniami przeprowadzono porównawcze badania terenowe czterech systemów oznakowania. Na podstawie pomiarów odblaskowości stwierdzono, że zarówno rodzaj farby, jak i mikrokulek znacząco wpływają na trwałość użytkową oznakowania. Zastosowanie farby wodorozcieńczalnej z posypką mikrokulek szklanych najwyższej jakości pozwoliło na ponad sześciokrotne zwiększenie trwałości użytkowej w porównaniu do systemu tradycyjnego. Z przeprowadzonej analizy finansowej wynika, że znacząco wyższe nakłady początkowe związane z cenami nowoczesnych materiałów zwracają się całkowicie dzięki większej trwałości użytkowej; w dłuższym horyzoncie czasowym przynoszą oszczędności na poziomie nawet 65%. W przeprowadzonych następnie analizach powierzchni mikrokulek pod mikroskopem optycznym i elektronowym obserwowano zarówno mikrokulki w stanie nienaruszonym jak i uszkodzone. Zaskoczeniem był charakter uszkodzeń mikrokulek, na których zamiast oczekiwanych zarysowań zauważono ubytki w kształcie kraterów.
