On the Tczew “record” dimension among the Polish truss bridges of large spans
Abstract
With reference to some truss bridges in Poland of more advanced spans, the reconstruction, after W.W. II, of the railway bridge over the Wisla river in Tczew, having maximal spans of 128.60 m, has been recalled. Those superstructures are – up till now – of a “record dimension”, when considering the achievements of native constructors in their homeland. The purpose of this paper is the commemoration of that event.
