Abstract

The paper presents the selected results of experimental tests under service loads that were conducted on a railway culvert made from corrugated steel plates. The displacements of the railway culvert were measured using the microwave interferometric radar. Based on the measured displacements, the frequencies of culvert were determined using the FDD (Frequency Domain Decomposition) method. The dynamic loads were caused by the passages of various trains running on this railway line. Conclusions drawn from the conducted tests can be helpful in the measurements using the microwave interferometry method, with particular emphasis of small to medium culverts and bridges.
